Cooper 9 months!

Wow time has flown by. Cooper is getting so big at such a rapid rate. He has started doing so much. Here is what he is doing:

• Crawling anywhere and everywhere (even off of our entry landing Oops)
• Starting to pull himself up on stuff
• Eating big food now-his favorite are peanut butter/jelly, french toast, grilled cheese
• saying ma ma, da da, ba ba
• he growls back at us when we growl at him
• he makes an elephant sound (you know the one when you squeeze your lips together)
• giggles, giggles, and giggles some more

He is really starting to interact with his brothers and get a personality. He knows when you are going to tickle him and he immediately starts laughing. It is way to cute. Cooper we love you and are loving watching you grow up!

Give thanks!

Well it is time for thankful thursday and I haven't done it for a while so I feel that I need to. I am thankful:

1. That basketball has started.(or at least I think so) I love coaching and it gives me a break away from the kids for a couple of hours a day for a few months. Don't get me wrong I love my kids to death but everyone needs a break RIGHT?

2. That canning season for me is officially over. I finished off the season by doing apple juice with my parents last weekend. It is a lot of work but we love the juice. You think 80 gallons should be enough??? :)

3. For my calling as a teacher in church. Preparing this lesson has helped me grow so much and learn to enjoy the small things.

4. Lastly for my hubby who does so much for our family. I am thankful that he allows me to coach and watches the kids for me while I do something that I enjoy so much. I know that at times he has a hard time (especially on weekends when I am gone 2 night for games) but he keeps on going and doesn't complain (or at least not a lot). Thanks Brian!

I hope during this season that we are able to find thanks in many things and express those thanks. Have a great weekend!

Well this last week has been quite an eventful week for out family. Or should I say one event caused our us to be very busy. On Wednesday night Brian had a fire meeting at the station. Usually I don't go but I happened to stop towards the end of the meeting. After hanging out for a while we decided it was time to go home. We were in two separate cars and so I loaded the kids up and started heading home. As I went up the overpass by the fire station I looked back and noticed that Brian's car was smoking. The first thought that came to mind was that it had overheated. So I turned around and headed back to the station. When I arrived I found Brian out of the car and the cement barrier tipped over. (luckily he didn't get hurt) At this point Brian stomped on the front bumper and it came all the way off. It was not quite what I had expected. And to make it even better Brian was being "stupid" when it happened. He was speeding through the parking lot to make a big splash through the puddle. When he hit the puddle he hydroplaned so then he couldn't steer the car anymore and he locked up the brakes trying to stop. He ended up stopping but not until he hit the cement barrier. Well to make a longer story shorter we ended up having to buy a car this weekend since Brian has to commute 100 miles daily. So in the end he ended up with a better car. The first thing Ethan said when he saw the wrecked car was "Dad, you can get a new car now." And that Brian did. I hope that my boys don't learn a lesson from this because if they did it would be if you are doing stupid things and wreck you car then you can get a new one. UUUGGGGHHHHH!

Halloween Fun!

Halloween was kind of an all day adventure for us. We got the kids dressed up around 4:00pm and headed to my parents and grandparents. Good thing we did because my kids were the only trick or treaters that they saw. After that we came back into town and made a few stop before heading up to the church Trunk-or-Treat. The kids walked around to cars for about 5 minutes and decided that they had enough and wanted to hand out our candy. I think Ethan liked seeing all the other costumes. Ethan was Bumble Bee-the transformer, Cody was Buzz Lightyear, and Cooper was an actual Bumble Bee. The kids had a lot of fun!

Every year we carve pumpkins with some friends. We make a mess in my kitchen and enjoy the fun. This year we even roasted the pumpkin seeds for the first time. They were yummy! Brian and I helped the boys carve their pumpkins. They thought that cleaning out the pumpkins was disgusting and didn't want to help with that at all. It was funny. Overall the pumpkins turned out pretty good. Thanks for the fun time Todd & Rachel!

Pumpkin Patch-I'm behind!

Well I wanted to do this in order so I am posting about the pumpkin patch which happened 2 weeks ago. I just hadn't quite gotten around to posting about it. On our way back from the ocean we thought that it would be fun to go through Tri-cities and take the kids to a pumpkin patch in pasco. Well to make a long story short our trip ended up taking longer then thought and we got there right as they were finishing trips to the pumpkin patch. So the kids got to go out and pick pumpkins but the pictures aren't that great due to the lighting. Oh well they still had fun and loved finding their own pumpkins.
