11 Months!

ALREADY??? I can't believe that Cooper is already 11 months and will be turning 1 next month. Time flies. He has been so much fun these last couple of months. He is now extremely mobile and follows everyone everywhere. He doesn't like to miss out on anything. He thinks that he is funny and has the cutest little giggle. Here are some updates and photos of the little man.

-Is walking along stuff and starting to stand on his own

-Says Uh-Oh and it is so cute when he does

-Is very ticklish and starts giggling when the tickle fingers come for him

-Needs a haircut(as you will see in the pictures-but I don't want him to look big)

-Loves to cuddle (this just started this last month)

-Loves playing Peek-a-Boo. He will actually hide behind something then pop out.

We had a tragic experience with him the other day. I had put the older boys in the bath Monday morning and was letting them play before bathing them. I had went back into the kitchen and finished feeding Cooper and taking care of him. I got him out of the high chair and told Brian that I needed to run to the store real fast. So Brian was in charge of the boys. He was doing dishes and while he was doing this Cooper made his way to the bathroom and was playing on the outside of the bath. Well he didn't stay on the outside for long. He fell in clothes, diaper and all. Brian got there quickly but it still scared Cooper to death. He was not a happy camper. Well the next night I was filling up the bath for bathtime and he was playing by the side. I undressed him and went to put him in and he started screaming bloody murder. He wanted out and didn't want anything to do with it. I hope that he gets over this. He use to love the water and would play and splash. We will just keep trying but for now he does not like it.

Feeling Kind of Old!

So just a funny story to tell. I guess it was funny but at the same time it made me feel kind of old. Last night I had a basketball game in Ellensburg. We were done with our game and getting back on the bus when I asked the girls on the bus if any of them had an extra coat. I had one on at the beginning of the night but one of our players got injured and needed to leave so I gave her mine so she wouldn't freeze in just her jersey. Anyways back to the bus. I had asked everyone and one of the girls ended up having one. WELL.....I am obviously a little bit bigger than most of my girls considering that none of them have had kids, oh and also because they are all freshman and sophomores. So anyways I borrow a jacket and put it on. It reminded me of the movie "Tommy Boy." So I started singing the song "fat girl (guy) in a little coat." I really couldn't move in this coat but it was something to keep me warm in the single digit weather. I continued to sing the song and my girls just looked at me wondering where I came up with this song. So then I started quoting lines from the movie. IE: Did you eat paint chips as a kid?, That's gonna leave a mark., etc. And none of the girls knew what movie this was. So needless to say us coaches had a good laugh. I proceeded to ask some of my team what year they were born. They were all born in 1993 or 1994. Well no wonder they haven't seen it. It came out in 1995. I don't think I would let my 2 or 3 year old watch that movie. After this experience I was feeling kind of old. Oh well this too shall pass-and I will just get older. If only I had a picture in the coat.

Lots of Catch up!

Wow so much to update. We have been super busy these last few weeks so just to warn you this could be a long post.

To begin with I am now deep into my basketball season. So this means 4 practices each week with 2 games every weekend. It is so much fun and I really enjoy this time although sometimes it can be hectic balancing coaching life and the long hours with being a mommy. It is going well though and the boys enjoy having a babysitter and playing with someone different.

Our basement if finally getting completed. We had carpet installed the on Dec. 22 and we absolutely love having this extra space. Now if we could just find the time to finish the trim so we could utilize this area. This is part of the house that we have said we are going to finish completely before we move into it. We will see if it really happens. Hopefully trim will be done tomorrow (everyone cross your fingers).

This year we spent Christmas eve with the Black side. This is always a good time. Ethan and Cody were so excited because Grandpa & Grandma gave our family a Wii for Christmas. They have yet to use it (we have not set it up yet because it is going to go in to basement) but they are very anxious. We stayed home for Christmas morning and did that as a family. The boys in the house got Guitar Hero World Tour from me. (long story-short) It was suppose to be for Brian from me but Ethan wanted it so badly and it was the only thing he wanted off his whole wish list so we gave it to them. So more or less a family gift. Let me tell you all of us have way to much fun on it. Christmas afternoon we headed to Chelan to be with the Bowman side for the rest of the weekend. We alternate holidays every year and Christmas was with my family this year. So we rented a house big enough for the bunch of us and went and had fun there. We spent our time tubing, sledding, snowmobiling, playing pool, watching TV, and of course eating. It was lots of fun though. Always chaos mixed with fun. Oh another highlight from the trip was that Ethan lost his first tooth. You are probably thinking that he is a little young. You are right. It got knocked loose about a month ago by Cody's foot. OOPS! So it finally became loose enough that it could be pulled out. He was scared at first but then super excited when he realized the tooth fairy would bring him money.

After the return home we continued on with our busyness. Brian had his apprenticeship test on the 30th. YEA he passed and is finally a journeyman dam operator. Something he has been training to do for the past 3 years. This was a nice Christmas present to finally have it done. Now onto the ugly shift work that he will begin sometime within the next few weeks.

Our new years was pretty uneventful. In fact our whole family was in bed by about 10:00pm. I now we are lame but hey it was already a new year in a lot of places just not yet here.

2009 has been good for us so far. Our family is doing good and enjoying life. Happy new year to you all.
