Scrapbooking class!

So I wanted to find a way to simplify my scrapbooking while still having it look the way I wanted. So after a recommendation of a friend (Brenda) I bought Photoshop Elements. She also told me about a class online that really helped her learn the program. So I was bored last week and decided to sign up for the class. I felt really guilty for doing this because I usually don't buy much without talking to Brian first. I wasn't going to tell him at first because I knew he would think that it was a stupid thing to do. But then my conscience got the better of me and I told him. At first he thought I was stupid but let me tell you he thinks that it is the best $45 I have spent in a while. I am actually doing something with it, instead of buying scrapbooking supplies and watching them collect dust. He is actually supportive of it now. I am really enjoying doing my scrapbooking on my computer and actually getting some pages done. So in my class we are told to share our pages with friends and relatives. I wasn't going to do this but I decided I would show off a few of them. I am having so much fun doing this and am on track with my goal by completing at least 1-2 pages a day. (let me tell you that is a lot for me since I have only done like 5 pages total for all 3 boys YIKES!!!)

Let me know what you think. It has been fun doing them and I am ready to start the next class. I think I will ask Brian first this time :)

Happy 7 months!

The big boy is 7 months now. It is crazy and time flies too fast. It seems to go faster with each child. He is getting so big now and CHUNKY. He is overall a pretty happy baby. He has been sick the last 2 1/2 weeks and is finally getting over all of it. I am so glad to have him healthy and happy again. Here are some pictures of him.

Things he can do at 7 months:

  • sits up all the time. He hates laying down now
  • eats everything in site and would rather have real food then milk
  • loves taking baths with his 2 brothers
  • hums songs when I hum to him. (funny thing all my kids have done this)
  • likes watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse it is his favorite

He has a 7 month checkup (6 month just a little late) on Thursday. I will let you know his stats later this week. All I know it that he is getting too big. We love you Cooper Dooper!

Brothers!

Today the boys asked if they could go play out front. I looked out there to check on them and this is what I found. I ran to get my camera because I thought that it was so cute the way they were sitting together. I went out through the garage and took some pictures without them knowing. If only I could've had their conversation on tape also. Ethan was pretending like he worked at a bike shop and Cody was bringing his bike in to be fixed. I just sat there and laughed. There is no boundaries to their imagination. I loved it.

They have really become friends these last few months. I told Brian last night that I need to get their play moments on video camera. Their latest has been to pretend like they are boxing. It was way to funny. They go to opposite corners of the living room and wait for one of us to "ding" the bell. Then they run to the middle of the room and box. It is way too funny. Hopefully I remember to record it so you can all see it.

First day of preschool!

On Wednesday Ethan had his first day of preschool. It was a bittersweet moment for me. Now I would be able to have time with just the younger two boys but at the same time my little Ethan is getting too big. Ethan was more than ready to go though. He has anxiously been waiting for the day that he gets to go to school. So we got up that morning and I told him he could ride his bike and I would walk him to school. It was too cute. He was so excited. We got to his school and he dropped his bike on the grass and said, "Bye Mom." That made me sad. Isn't he suppose to miss me? I told him that I wanted some pictures of him before he left. So he posed and then he was ready to go. My little guy is getting too big.

Labor Day!

We finally took part in the whole labor day vacation weekend. Usually we don't do anything and stay at home. This year we decided to go camping with a group of friends. Let me say it was quite the experience. Camping with 3 children is definitely interesting. Luckily we had lots of help from others there. We went up to Lake Alta (near Pateros, WA) and stayed at the state campground there. It was fun because we were in a group campsite and had it all to ourselves with our friends. We boated and jet skied on the lake a lot and enjoyed the water. The boys enjoyed riding on Uncle Todd's boat and playing with Colin (our friends little boy). Sunday night was fun because after we put the kids to bed a group of us who all went to school together sat around and reminisced about the good old days. I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while. It was very enjoyable. We will probably end up making this our yearly tradition on labor day.
