Here I am again another week gone by and this is the only post I have done since last week. Kind of pathetic but not much going on with us. Well here is another week that has found me very thankful for everything I have. To begin with I am thankful for the innocence of children. I am so glad that they don't know that some of the things that I tell them really can't happen. For example I really can't call the toy monster. I am going to be ruined the day when they realize that there is no such things as toy, food, clothes, and other monsters. This is the only way we get things done is doing it before the monster come and take it. (if you don't have boys you might not understand) Next I am thankful for the pool. We have been doing swimming lessons this week and my boys are loving them. It gives them something to do everyday for 1/2 hour so it is great. It also is a great bribing tool when it comes to bedtime. Lastly I am thankful for my family. I don't know what I would do without the love and support of my husband and boys. They make me so happy. I hope this finds everyone having a thankful day.

Thankful Thursday!
Wow it is already this time again. It seems like I just did this post last week. Doesn't time fly? This week I have so much to be thankful for that I probably could write for hours. I will not bore you so I will list a few.
-First off I am very thankful for the abundance of family that my family and I are surrounded by. I love having family so close and having my boys growing up surrounded by all of them. They enjoy every moment that they have with their grandparents, aunties, uncles, and cousins. I love how excited the boys (cousins) get when they get together and play. Yes it is crazy for a little while but eventually it calms (or at least a little) down.
-Another thing I am thankful for is the warm weather. I love the fact that my kids are able to go play anytime that they wish or more like anytime that I want to kick them out there. I like spending time outside and the mild warm weather has allowed us to do this a lot this year. Also the pool has been a lifesaver this year. My boys are such water bugs and they enjoy it so much so that allows me a couple of hours of sanity pretty much anytime that suits.
-Next I am thankful for SLEEP!!! Wait let me rephrase that. I am thankful for when my kids sleep. This week Brian is on nights so therefore it makes for a quiet house once my kids go to sleep. And let me tell you how much I enjoy that. I am able to get so much done in the evenings when the kids are sleeping and it is kind of peaceful. Don't get me wrong I love my kids dearly but if you are a parent you now what I mean about peace and quiet.
-Last thing this week would have to be my husband. You all are going to get bored to death because he will most likely be one of my "thankfuls" every week. I don't know how I couldn't be thankful for him. He does so much for our family. I am so thankful for how laid back he is. It definitely balances our household out.
Well I hope this finds everyone having a good week and I hope you all stop and take a moment to remind yourself of the things that you are thankful for.

Mission Accomplished!
All of us girls before we started the race
Brian and Cooper hanging out
Heading out on my run. Only 3 miles to go.
The race is all done. Of course we all have smiles.
So if you read my last post you read that I have become an exercise freak. All of my hard work paid off this last week as a group of girlfriends and I completed our first triathlon in Chelan. It was such a blast and I will definitely do it again. In fact I think we are planning on one in September. My ambition to do one started a couple years ago and last year my brother actually had me convinced to do one with him in Oregon. But then I got pregnant so I couldn't do it. So after having Cooper I was determined to do a triathlon (sprint distance) this summer. Therefore I started training and found a couple of friends that wanted to do the triathlon together. I have to say thank you to my husband for allowing me the time to go exercise and train for the event and for also watching Cooper and supporting me on the race day. Also thanks to Brian's parents for watching Ethan and Cody overnight and "camping" with them.
The race consisted of a 1/2 mile swim, 13 mile bike and a 3 mile run. I started off with the swim and felt like I drank the whole lake before I was even halfway done. About halfway through my swim I was actually able to swim because we had finally spread out so I wasn't swimming on top of people anymore. Then it was onto the bike. I got on and took off. The bike ride was along Lake Chelan and it was very beautiful. It was a lot of fun and made the ride go really fast. Then onto the run. Now I know that most of you are thinking "how do you run after biking 13 miles?" It really doesn't hurt that bad. In fact my legs are already warmed up enough so they didn't hurt that bad. It was the vomit sitting in my throat that bothered me. Oh well it stayed there and I didn't have to deal with it. So I completed the race in 1 hr 38 min. My goal was 2 hours so I am feeling pretty good about the race. Okay so I will quit talking about myself now but I just have to tell you if you have any desire to do something like that and you are questioning it, just go ahead and do it because you will feel so great when you are done.

Thankful Thursday!
So I have to admit I am stealing this from a blogging friend. She does this once a week and I thought that it was a great idea to allow myself to keep things in perspective of what I am really thankful for. So here we go.
-first off I have to say that I am thankful for such a wonderful husband. He is such a hard worker and a wonderful father. He allows me to have time for myself (my workout time and coaching) without any questions. His boys idolize him in every way. I LOVE HIM!!!
-next I am thankful for my 3 wonderful children. They may drive me insane some days but most days they are so much fun and I love the things they say. Even just to have them give me hugs and kisses is the BEST! I don't know what I would ever do without them.
-Last off I am thankful for exercise. It allows me time to think while I am doing something good for my body. I have really learned to love exercise these last couple months and I have got to where my body needs it or I don't feel well. I didn't think that I would ever get to that point in my life, but I have to admit I love the feeling.
Well I hope that I can make this a habit and express each week the things that I am so very thankful for.

Make me melt
Okay so it is bragging time. I had to post this picture because I absolutely love blue eyes. I told Brian one day that Cody's blue eyes and dimples and Ethan's giggle and smile totally melt my heart. Good thing they don't know that yet or else they would definitely use it to their advantage. I was just so excited to get a blue eyed child. If you know my family at all you know why. Everyone has POOP brown eyes (as I call them). All of us kids from my family get so excited when we have a blue eyed child. I think that they can make anyone melt. Or is it just me?

Boating Fun!
So our friend Todd bought a boat this year and the kids can't quit talking about it. They love going boating any chance that we get. We have been out twice and they totally loved it. Ethan and Cody got to experience the tube with Todd. Ethan kept wanting to go faster but I wouldn't let him. :) As you can tell from the pictures Cody was a little tired. He fell asleep on Rachel while we were driving along. It was pretty cute. Other than that not much more has been happening around our house. I am finally done with summer basketball. Now we move onto all the family vacations for the summer. EXCITING!!!

Fourth of July WHAT?
Sorry there is no exciting fourth of july post. I think that I am the only one out of all of my friends that doesn't have one. But if you know my husband and the fact that he is a volunteer firefighter then you know why we don't do anything for the 4th. We are not allowed to go anywhere because he might miss a fire call. In fact him and his fire buddies have designated it as fire week and they all take off a couple extra days and spend 24/7 at the fire station. So that is what my fourth consists of yearly. Oh wait we did go to a BBQ-at the fire station. You thought I was joking about not being able to leave. Sounds exciting huh.
